MWS Web Access
This guide will help you access Mortgage Workspace (MWS) through the web browser using the Windows App web experience. The older Remote Desktop Web Client is still available as a legacy option.
Windows App (web)
Use the Windows App in your browser to sign in and connect to your cloud PCs and remote resources.
Steps to access MWS via Windows App (web)
- Open the link above or go to https://windows.cloud.microsoft/#/devices.
- Sign in with your Microsoft account (e.g.
username@gfs.loans) and complete any prompts (such as Microsoft Authenticator). - Select your device or resource from the list and connect to open Mortgage Workspace in the browser.
Remote Desktop Web Client (legacy)
Still supported if you prefer it or IT asks you to use it.
Quick steps
- Open the link and sign in with your Microsoft account (
username@gfs.loans) and MFA if prompted. - Pick the Mortgage Workspace resource from the list to connect.
System requirements
To use either web experience, ensure you have:
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari)
- A stable internet connection
- Your Microsoft account credentials
- Microsoft Authenticator app set up on your mobile device (if required)
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues accessing MWS via the web:
- Clear your browser cache and try again
- Disable browser extensions that might interfere with the web client
- Try a different browser if the current one isn't working
- Check your internet connection to ensure it's stable
- Verify your Microsoft account has the necessary permissions
